AIM

Examinations are a form of learning activity. They can enable students to see the material from a different perspective. They also provide feedback that students can then use to improve their understanding.

VISION

  • The vision of the institution is to provide higher education to the rural students at a low and affordable cost, not compromising with the quality parameters of national education program and to inculcate committees and social responsibilities among the students
  • To provide affordable quality education, while equipping students with knowledge and skills in their chosen stream, inculcate values, identify hidden talents, provide opportunities for students to realize their full potential and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all good human beings.

  • The objective of the examination is to assess the extent to which the student has achieved the academic objectives stipulated for the subjects/subject elements of the programme in the curriculum.

EVALUATION SYSTEM

FOR F. Y. B. A. / B. COM./ B.SC and S. Y. B. A/ B. COM./ B.SC

From the Academic Year 2016-17 UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI has implemented CHOICE BASED CREDIT AND GRADING SYSTEM
Under this system, the performance of students shall be evaluated in two parts: –
  • Two semesters at each year with Semester- End Theory Examination of 100 marks.
  • For Foundation Course an internal assessment of 25 Marks (20 Mark project work and 5 marks for active participation and attendance) and semester end theory examination of 75 Marks.
  • Passing criterion: 40% (in each component separately where evaluation is for internal and external separate) and 40 % for single semester end theory exam.
  • For 75 Marks paper the duration of exam will be of 2.5 Hrs. and for 100 Marks paper the duration of exam will be of 3 hours.
  • Allow to keep term (ATKT) & additional examination facility is also given.

 

FOR T. Y. /B. A. / B. Sc/ B. Com
The performance of the learners shall be evaluated at the end of the academic year by UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI
  • Two semesters at each year with Semester- End Theory Examination of 100 marks.
  • Passing criterion: 40 % for Vth and VIth semester theory exam.
In some subjects project evaluation is for 20 marks and for practical paper each paper carries 50 marks for chemistry, botany, physics is provided.
